MEETING OF THE BOARDS

A meeting of lihe Spring Creek and Picton Road Boards was held conjointly yesterday afternoon at SpringCreek for the purpose of considering the plans of the proposed :Ferry .Bridge. There were present: Messrs Redwood (Chairman), Gane, Murray, fgifford and Sadd, of the Spring Creek poard, the Pictcm Road Board members being Messrs D. Chaytor, Randall and Seater.

The plans were considered by the jneetmg and were approved .of. rlt was resolved that the "bridge be liuflt forthwith, and the Secretary was instructed to write to Mr Fulton, re-quest-ing him to call for tenders. The bridge is to be completed within 12 months from the date of the signing x>f the-contract, and the time allowed for the bridge to remain closed for traffic -is not more than four months. The plans have already been approved <ot by the district eaigineor at Pieioa.
