THE PICTON MAYORALTY.
i TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The half-column collection of words in your last issue headed " The i Picton Contest," and signed by an ; assumed name (which adds to its : weight), can hardly be interpreted | otherwise than the disappointed utter- ■ ances of a disappointed elector. | Especially as the last sentence of his | effusion says that the intellect of the ; electors will be measured by their ; choice. Apparently there is only one choice that would have suited, viz., Rory Macanulty, who would then have been able to dispense his opinions as well as his pills. So as not to take advantage of my norn de plume friend, I would sign myself | _^^ X.
