Mr H. T. Handley, of Napier, is at present spending a few days with his parents in Blenheim.
Mr J. R. Strachan, district engineer of Masterton, accompanied by Mrs Strachan, has been spending Easter with his brother, Mi- D. A. Strachan, of Blenheim.
The Hon. C. H. Mills and Mrs Mills were passengers by the Ma'naroa from Wellington to Eli Bay. They intend staying there for a few days.
Mr D. Nimmo-Scott, who has been employed on the Lands and Survey staff in Blenheim for two years, has received notice of transfer to Timaru, where he will succeed Mr Williams as Crown Lands Ranger. Mr Scott will take up his new duties on May Ist. A Dunedin Press Association telegram states , that the death is announced by the Californian mail of Mr Frank Coxhead, formerl- a Dunedin resident, who took some part in public affairs.
Last evening >lr and Mrs James lulton entertained a number of friends at their residence, the occasion being the celebration of the 25th anniversary of their wedding. The health ? ™ ?? d Mrs Fult<>n was proposed oy Mr F. Pame, and duly honoured. Mrs Fulton was a Miss Hall, and was rormerly a resident of Spring Creek. Mr Fulton has been a resident of Marlborough for many years.
A Dunedin Press Association telegram states that Nurse Kathleen Redwood, ■ who came from Blenheim, died of scarlet fever at the fever hospital at noon to-day. She was taken ill on baturday, but her case was not considered serious then. However a sudden change occurred to-day, and she succumbed. Miss Redwood was a daughter of Mr Thomas Redwood, of Blenheim.
