BUCKINGHAM'S BIOGRAPH.
There was, a very poor audience :at the Town. Hall last night ta witness the sacred pictures shown by Buckingr ham's Biograph. Although labouring under, the undoubted disadvantage of showing to a small audience and its consequent dispiriting effect, Mr Buckingham showed a complete programme, which was carried through in the same manner as if there had fceen a crowded house. The most interesting of the series of pictures were those of Ben Hur, which, though of small _ size, were beautifully coloured and of good focus. The pictures were accompanied by an excellent descriptive lecture by Mr Buckingham, which contained some sound advice to all and sundry. Mr Buckingham also sang some v sacred songs, of which "Narareth," "Calvary" and "Ora Pro Nobis" were_ perhaps the best. Following the magic lantern slides were some really excellent pictures, of which the audience, though" small, was duly appreciative. '
