THE EASTER MANOEUVRES.
In connection with the military manoeuvres a^} Easter,(says the Nelson Colonist), which are to be held in the .vicinity of the Moutere, circumstances have arisen which make it inadvisable to camp one fojrce at the Western -Lntrance. Orders are to be issued cancelling previous arrangements, and ithe whole force will be camped in the neighbourhood of Redwood's Valley. With certain modifications as to the constitution of the forces, the sides will remain as before, the Blue force being under the command of Lieut .- Coionel Chaytbr, and the Red force under Lieut.-Colonel Harkness. Each force will be rationed separately, the quarter-master of the respective sides being Major Colemah v; (Red) and Lieutenant Stringer (Blue). All the town corps arid the Garrison Band will leave by the seven o'clock train on Thursday evening, and the country corps by the usual evening down tram, each party derailing at Appleby, and route marching to Redwood's Valley. The Blenheim and Waitdhi Rines and the. Blenheim Half Battalion Band will reach Nelson early on Friday corning, and will also pr<£ oeeu to^Redwood's Valley to join ■C^onel Chaytor's force.
