An interesting judgment was given by Judge Bompas at Bradford County Court. Joseph Rosemont, photographer, of Leeds and Bradford, had opened a letter addressed to an employee named Carl Scholl by Miss M'Pherson, a former employee, in which the latter asked for certain things she had left in the studio. Rosemont admitted having opened the letter and read it, and also that ha had detained it. His Honor awarded Scholl £8 and costs.
