The Mcl'vonzie Carrying Company, ivho have charge of the Board's amfculance waggon, ,ou condition that they onarge users the ordinary cab fee for themselves! and an equal umount for uaymeiit to the Board, wrote complaining that the rate agreed upon, 6s per hour, was insufficient to meet expenses of driving, etc. Yet this, charge to the users ©f the ambulance could not be increased, as clients living in far-away places complained that the accounts wore too nigh. The Company suggested that thi* amount payable to the Board be "reduced or foregone altogether. The sefc-itement askrd for, showing the amounts due to . the 1 Board, was promised as soon as convenience permitted. , The matter was deferred to allow the statement to be forthcoming, the Secretary to make inquiries. PROPOSED NURSES' QUARTERS.
