NOTE.—Late fee letters may be posted 10 minutes after the advertised time of closing, and at the guard's van up to the hour of departure. . ; , .; Commencing ;6ri'New Year'so day, the free delivery of telegrams received for delivery at Blenheim will be extended to a distance of two miles for all messages lodged at any office between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., after 6 p.m. the frea delivery to be for a distance of one mile and a half; carriage beyond the free delivery up to three miles to be charged at the rate of sixpence per mile or fraction thereof. Beyond three miles the present regulations will be adhered to. t Telephone offices have been opened at Maori Bay,Whatanihi and Pinohia, in the Pelorus Sound, and Kainui (Three Bridges) near Kekerangu. Telephone offices have how been opened at Langridge, Purahi (Fair- 'l Jield), and Mobsworth.
