MELBOURNE, Dec. 31/ An official analysis of the preferences tinder the new tariff shows that the items, upon- which the United Itingdom saves less than 15 per.cent of the total duty decreased from 64 to 37; those where savings are over 15 per cent increased from 187 to 224; the preference items of 25 per cent increased from 134 to 161, and those giving a saving of 33 per cent increased by 16.
