MURDER IN COLD BLOOD
[press association.]
CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 14. The man Wilson used a new revolver, with which he shot his wife in the right arm, left' elbow and stomach. The woman died before the doctor arrived.
Wilson locked himself in a- room, and a constable had to break the door open' with an axe. He found several bullet-holes in the walls, and one through the window. There was a •pooL'of, blood on the floor. The man had shot' Kimself through the breast, the bullet passing out under the shoulder-blade.
The woman, staggered out of the bedroom after being shot; and got;to the back door, leaving a trail of blood behind her. She is described as a prepossessing woman, while the man was a "waster."
The act was committed in cold blood. There is no suggestion that Wilson had been drinking, and the members of the family say that he would have been sent back to Sunnyside had he done so.
