PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS.
A notice appears in our advertising columns to tho effect that Mr G. W. O'Sullivan has been appointed agent for Blenheim and district of the _ Royal Exchange- Assurance- Corporation of London. The fact that this company met the whole of its losses by the San Francisco lire, amounting to £619,396, without trenching on the special reserve fund, is .sufficient evidence of the stability of the company. Mr O'Sullivan is prepared to accept all descriptions of fire risks at lowest current rates. The funeral of the late Mrs_A. Henderson will leave Mr 11. llendra's residence for Omaka Cemetery to-mor-row at 2.30 p.m. Mr Jas. Fowler's old-established furniture warehouse is mentioned in a special announcement in this issue.
