A TRYING VOYAGE.
SEARCHING FOR THE MONO-
WAI.
THE TERAWHITI'S EXPERIENCE.
[press association.]
WELLINGTON, Sept. 20. The tug terawhiti had a 1400-mile trip in her search for the Mohowai. She experienced very rough weather all the time, and was constantly under water. After speaking the Manuka and hearing that, the vessel had been found, her steam steering-gear broke down, and the hand gear had to be used.
The little boat, which has just come out, had a sharp test of her qualities, as no attempt was made to "nurse" her.
