The Frozen Meat Trade Association's Smithfield market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat are based on actual sales of not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb or 25 carcases of beef, of fair average quality. These quotations are not for selected lines, but of parcels fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on the market: Frozen lamb, Canterbury heavy, 36/42 lbs, 4|dj heavy River Plate sheep 3|d. The rest are unchanged. The rabbit market is gradually inr" proving, but unexpectedly large shipments are surprising the market, after the statement about a shortage. Quotations are : Sydney large 12s to 12s 6d, young 10s 6d. There is a great shortage of hares. First grade 2s 6d, second 2s. Practically all were bought for France and Germany. Wheat : Cargoes sold at 37s to 37s 3d.

Silver, 2s 7£d per oz ; antimony, £8 10s per ton ; copper, spot £76 ss, three months, £75 fs 6d; tin, spot, £165 15s; lead, £19 7s 6d.
