THE MINE-OWNERS AND THE

STRIKERS

[press association.] (Received July 30, 10.50 p.m.)

CAPETOWN, July 30

The mine-owners on the Rand declare that while they have agreed to reengage skilled machine men at exceptionally good wages, they have not conceded anything regarding the number of machines which each must supervise ; they will merely re-engage as many strikers as possible.
