DUNEDIN, July 29
An old wood-and-iron building in Glen Road, Caversham, used as a fellmongery and mat-factory, was burned .down yesterday. It is assumed that the fire was caused by sparks from the toiler, which was communicated to scraps of wool lying about. The insurances on the building are £350; on the stock and plant £300; on the machinery and-contents £150—all in the Alliance Assurance Company. Dawson and McKechnie's sawmill at Ratanua was burned down on Friday. It was uninsured, and the loss is estimated at £400.
