John Lewis, charged wich stealing a ring valued at £65 irom Mr Goldwater, pawnbroker, by substituting a cheap ring with a glass " diamond," was committed for sen"tence.

FEILDING, April 24. Christopher Ryan was to-day committed for trial on a charge of breaking and entering the premises of A. 13. Scott, Haleombe, on April Ist, while the occupier was absent at his Aether's funeral.
