PISTOL HORTICULTURE SHOW.
+ The Picton Horticultural ant, Industrial Society held its autumn show ' yesterday. * The show was a- decided improvement on those of the last two years, and included the monster pumpkin exhibited by Captain Harris, which weighed over a hundredweight. The tea room is a decided success, and brings grist to the mill. I Yesterday ■ those in charge did a good business. Among them were Mesdames Chambers, Couch, Vickers, Misses Seymour, Philpotts, Ward and Harris. Dr. \ Redman had kindly.'lent his patent gas j stove, which answered all the pur-j poses admirably, and the provisions were gifts from friends. The judges for the Show were:—Pot plants and cut flowers, Mr Hale; bouquets and floral devices, Mesdames Griffiths and Bennett; domestic produce, Mesdames. Fryer and Fraser; vegetables, Mr Fraser.
