and for the Continent 2,355,000 quarters. Atlantic shipments amount to 212,000 quarters and'Paeific to 25,000 quarters. Three Australian cargoes have been sold, prices ranging from 30s 7£d a quarter to 31s 3d. Shares—Banks of Australasia £98 New South Wales £49 10s, Union £59 10s, others unchanged. The report of the Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company shows a profit of £65. The report of the Orient Steam Navigation Company shows a profit of £17,950. A dividend of 5 per centum on deferred shares is recommended.
