SEDDON STOCK SALE
The N.Z. L. and M.A. Company report that at Seddon yesterday the yarding and attendance were a little below the average, but the stock was in a good deal better condition, and the bidding a great deal more animated than usual. Prices all round had an upward tendency, especially for forward lambs. Prices realised were as follows:—Crossbred lambs: mixed sexes, in wool 12s 4d, shorn 10s 9d, small ss; threequarter-bred lambs, a* ethers 9s od; crossbred ewes, rat good 13s, others 9s 2d to lls 4d; crossbred ewes, mixed ages, lls Id to 12s, aged 4s 3d to 4s 4d; merino ewes 3s 6d to 7s; merino wethers 6s 10d to 8s Id.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report holding their fortnightly sale at Seddon yesterday, when there was a fair yarding of sheep, and prices were in advance of late quotations, especially for lambs, which sold well with a shilling rise. There was a good attendance and bidding was brisk. Prices ruled as follows:—Merino ewes, 3s 6d to 7s; merino wetners, 6s lOd to 8s Id; fat ewes, 9s 2d to 13s; aged ewes, 4s 9d to 8s 7d; full-mouth ewes, lls to 11s lOd; lambs in wool, 8s to 12s 4d, small 5s to 6s Bd, shorn lambs 10s 6d to 10s Bd.
