MARLBOROUGH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Management Committee of the Marlborough Hockey Association was held last night, when there were present: Misses Draper and Trent, Messrs Bartlett, Fairelough, •keUow and Dunkley (hon. Secretary)! Mr A. J. Kellow was elected chairman tor the year. It was decided to open the season on Wednesday, May Ist, with an eleven a-side tournament for both ladies and men's clubs; any club to , enter as many teams as possible, but in the event of more than one team being entered, each team to contain not-more than five senior players. . Ine first matches of the men's cham?i? nS lp contßst mbe held on the 4th May, and the contest for the Atkinson Cup (ladies' competition), for which three rounds will be, played, will commence on 25th May. The ladies' junior conioc-tition will also commence on May 25 th. A notification of a proposed visit from the Nelson Hockey Association towards the end of the sr.-i.-m. was received.
