Consols are quoted at £84 17s 6d

The weakness in New York and the heavy liquidation have caused a general fall on the London Stock Exchange.

A number of failures are probable at the coming settlement.

[The present price of Consols is a fall of 10s on the previous quotation, which was £85 7s 6d.]
