FATHER AND SON DROWNED
NAPIER, Jan. 7. William Alexander Watts, a commission agent resident' at Havelock North, and his son William, a boy of 11, were drowned in the Ngarui'pro River about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. They were bathing, when the boy got out of his depth, and the father went to his assistance. Neither could swim, and both were_,.drowned. A.younger son, aged^'Bout 10, who was standing on the^Bank, witnessed tlie sad accident^^tnd at once gave the alarm. jr The bodies were recovered.
