FATHER AND SON DROWNED

NAPIER, Jan. 7. William Alexander Watts, a commission agent resident' at Havelock North, and his son William, a boy of 11, were drowned in the Ngarui'pro River about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon. They were bathing, when the boy got out of his depth, and the father went to his assistance. Neither could swim, and both were_,.drowned.
