ALLEGED ATTEMPT AT BRIBERY
O&E88 ASSOCIATION.] (Received July 10, 11.4 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 10. The tramway employees are settled in their determination to refuse a Departmental inquiry into their grievances, and to demand a Royal Commission.
At a meeting to-day the President of the Union said that' the public could rest assured the Union would do nothing to precipitate the service into anything that would cause disorder. He stated that a certain movement had taken place to get him to. return to duty, and hinted that the action was in the nature, of a bribe.
A driver named Kelly accuses the superintendent of the tram service of attempting to bribe him to create dissension in the Union. The superintendent denies the accusation.
