N.Z. EGG-LAYING COMPETITION ASSOCIATION.

THE FOUETH WEEK. Dubing the fourth week of the New Zealand Egg-laying Competition 832 eggs were laid, being an average of 8.32 per pen. The grand total now stands at 195G, an average of 19.56 per pen. The highest layings for the week were : Marlborough A. and P. Association's White Leghorns 28, H. Walden's Silver Wyandottes 27, and H. Boyce's Silver Wyandottes 25. The highest aggregates now are : D. A. Sturrock's Black Orpingtons 75, G. Bishell's White Leghorns 72, and G. Boyes's Silver Wyandottes 69. All tho pens save 16 have now commenced operations, 13 having started during the past week. Most of the non-starters are moulting. The weather during the week has been favorable.
