LAND SETTLEMENT FOR SOUTH AFRICA. REPATRIATION^ THE CHINESE (Received June 10, 4.21 p.m.) LONDON, June 9. The House of Commons debated the Colonial Office vote. •-' Sir Dickson Poynder urged the advisability of vigorous land settlement in the Transvaal and Orangia, placing it on a permanent footing. • The Radicals and Labourites strongly complained of the non-repatriation of the Chinese on the Rand, and warned the Government of the dissatisfaction of their constituents at the nonfulfilment of their election pledges.
