WELLINGTON, June 7. At the Hutt Licensing • Committee meeting the Chairman said that com-: plaints had been • received that Maori women were being served with liquor. He warned licensees that if. an offence were proved the license of the person convicted would, be, in jeopardy.
GREYMOUTH, June 7. The Grey Licensing Committee granted all licenses for 11 o'clock. The police reported a good improvement in the conduct of hotels, . but a great scarcity of accommodation: This, liowever, will be remedied when two large and commodious hotels now in course of erection are completed.
