ROYAL COMMISSION ASKED FOR

The following is the full text of the N.Z. Times' version of Mr Moore's disclosures, a telegraphic resume of which appeared in yesterday's Exr-KJBSS:— :■.-.•-..■ A bomb-like notice of mption was tabled at the meeting of the. Wellington Hospital Trustees on Tuesday morning, when Mr F. T. Moore, ot Johi|sonyiile, intimated his intention to move, at the next meeting of the Trustees,-' a fortnight hence; the following motion :p=- • ' "That, in view,of the recent disclosures in America, the Wellington Hospital Trustees ask the Premier to set up a Royal Commission for the purpose of publicly investigating the nature of the sources of supply and the methods of, the purveyors of moat for the city of Wellington, such Commission to be empowered to examine persons connected with the trade on oath, search books and documents, and inspect'premises in the interests of public health."

Mr Moore said, in view of the disclosures that had been made regarding the methods of the meat trade in Chicago, that it was- incumbent upon the Hospital Trustees to take up the matter of investigating the local meat supply.
