The Rev. A. H. and Mrs Sedgwick lunched on board H.M.S. Encounter yesterday with Mrs Sedgwick's relative, Captain H. V. W. Elliot.
Mr R. Price, of the Picton Post and Telegraph Office, who has received promotion, left Picton yesterday. Mr Price lias been an obliging and painstaking officer and will bo greatly missed in Picton. : . V ..
The Commandant of the Forces (Major-Genoral Babington) is inspecting the Hawke's Bay Volunteers.
Mr A. H. Deighton, who has been accountant in the Dannevirke branch of the Bank of New South Wales for several years, has been transferred to headquarters in Wellington.
Dr Findlay has been elected Chairman of the Victoria College Council for the ensuing year. Sir Robert Stout was re-elected the council's representative on the University Senate.
A visitor to Blenheim at present is Mr Worsley, at one time manager of the Union Bank in Blenheim" Mr Worsley, needless to say, is renewing many old friendships.
