r_PUESB ASSOCIATION.]
WANGANUI, May 17. A number of visiting horses have arrived for the Wangamu meeting. The tracks this morning were somewhat heavy, and the weather was showery. Valkyrie worked before breakfast, doing a couple of strong rounds on the flat. Alb.uera made two ciicults af a fair pace; Kuroki and Natatara did a round together over the schooling hurdles, the former finishin^ in front; Natatara then stopped. Dnil joined Kuroki, and the pair gave a good display of jumping, the former especially shaping most attractively. Liialia and Lokio did medium - paced work Pardon easily beat Sedgmoore over five furlongs in lmin 6sec, the latter moving very- scratcluly. bir William and North Star had a turn over the schooling fences, the former showing to most advantage,- though losing ground at every fence. Playfair and Rangiwhenna galloped a mile fast; the former looks big, but is evidently very well, and finished strongly. A number of others did useful work.
