FLAXBOURNE SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION.

The usual monthly meeting of the Committee of the Flaxbourne Settlers' Association was held on May 7th.

There was a good attendance of members, and Mr D. Loe (President) was in the chair.

It was resolved to write to tho Hon. C. H. Mills urging him to hasten the completion of the railway to Flaxbourne, as until it is completed settlers are at a great disadvantage and many small section holders have no chance of making their holdings pay. Other motions passed were in reference to having fencing erected at the cemetery; to endeavor to have footbridges ' provided for the different streams so that children could get to and from school ; and to ask the Land Board to provide a more suitable recreation reserve.
