Mr Sedclon' will be absent from New Zealand for three weeks. While at Sydney he will be'entertained by New Zealand residents there.

At Friday's meeting of the Picton Borough Council, Cr Riddell moved, and the Council carried, a belated vote of thanks to their late Mayor, Mr J. A. R. Greensill, for the efficient manner in which he had carried cut his duties.

An.interesting function takes place at the Picton Borough Council Chambers this evening, when Mr A. G. Fell will be presented with a token of the esteem in which he is held by his confreres on the Picton Hospital Board, and "his fellow townsmen, on tho occasion of his departure for Wellington.
