The Seymour brothers and Maclaine rowed a good second to Queen's Drive at Pieton in 1894, when the winners established the record time of IJJOiS-lgiaS&JoL.*l?® distance. The Seymours were^se.nt across to Australia (Daly replacing,, Maclaine), where they took part unsuccessfully in tho big race on the Paramatta. • , . The time put up by the Blenheim Four on Monday last, 12mm /sec, compares favourably with that in which the race was rowed on Lake Waihola (in calm water) two years ago, when the Port Chalmers crew beat Canterbury in 12min 21 S-Ssec.
