SUICIDE BY HANGING.

[press association.] NELSON, April 14,

John Lloyd, aged 40, a resident of Lloyd's Valley, suicided on John Win's fawn at Dovedale on Thursday by hanging. The man had suffered from fits of insanity, but had recovered, and was staying at Win's farm. He had gone to lie down and soon after was found dead in bed, self strangled with a strap round the neck, and attached to the bedpost. A verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned.
