' X RULES, ANpIBEGULATIGNS. (1) The decision of the Committee shall be final in deciding all points in connection with the carrying out of this programme. (2) Three competitors to start or no event; four to start or no third prize. (3) All competitors must be on their marks at the appointed time for each event, and anyone not answering to the judge's or starter's call may be disqualified. (4) The committee reserve the right to require any competitor before or after the_event to make a declaration as to his identity or the correctness of his performances. " ~,-- --(5) The committee may require any competitor to prove his identity further than by declaration should they think fit to do so. (6) Any competitor found jostling will be immediately disqualified. (7) Any race may be run off in heats at the discretion of the committee. All 100 yds an 120 yds races will be run between tapes. ■ (8) The committee reserve the right to strike out any event should there not be sufficient entries to satisrv them. (9) The committee reserve the right to have any competitor re-handicap-ped after publication of handicaps. (10) All protests must be made in writing within half an hour of events, and must be accompanied with a deposit of 20s, which will be forfeited if the protest be not sustained. (11) No persons but members of the committee and competitors will be allowed inside the ring. }l (12) The committee reserve the right to postpone the sports from day to day should the weather not be favorable on March 21st, 1906. ■'■"■>'■' (13) Competitors leaving their marks before the pistol is fired will be put back one yard for each offence; and anyone not going back when required may be disqualified at the discretion of the starter... (14) Costumes to be approved by the committee. i ' (15) Nominators must send in'their last two years' performances (private matches included), and if' they have not competed within that time they must send in their last three performances. ■ :4'..\ •" (16) The competitor gaining uighesfc aggregate points in events Nos. 3, &, 11, will secure a leg-in for gold medal, value £10 10s (presented by the late H. Dodson), to lbe won twice in succession or three times at intervals. (17) All cycle events run under New, Zealand League of Wheelmen rules. The Hibernian Band, under Band' master Hale, will render selections of music during the day. Admission to Grounds: Adults, One Shilling; children under 12 years of »ge, free.
