BLENHEIM STOCK SALE

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report that at their Blenheim sale on Wednesday last, notwithstanding the heavy rain of the morning of the sale, all advertise- stock oame forward. The yarding consisted chiefly of station lines of merino ewes and forward wethers. Among the most noteworthy were a line of wethers from the Lansdowne and Erina stations, which for size, wool and condition, would be hard to beat anywhere. The cull ewes from these stations were sold by the company early in the season, for 16s. Other lines of note were the draught ewes from Blairich and Leefield stationa, which, owing to the drop in was keen', and prices were in vendors" to bring under the hammer'within1 5s of the price they would have realised six months ago. Several lots were passed in during the sale, but all, with the QxcGption of three small lots, were disppsecf ot by private treaty atterwards. -

The demand for rains and cattle was keen, and prices were in vendors favor.
