CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. A strong southerly gale is blowing. Just before 11 o'clock one of the large towers of the Exhibition building collapsed completely. The whole of the tower structure is down. There were no fatalities, as though the men were working there this morning they had plenty of warning of the impending collapse, and were called off.
