A boat containing three men bringing provisions was capsized. The occupants reached land after swimming a mile. Two of them went to a station three miles away in search of relief, swimming most of the distance; the third remained on an island for two days without food or fire. He suffered agonies from sand-flies and mosquitoes.before being rescued. The loss of provision is serious, as none are procurable in the. neighbourhood.
