BLENHEIM STOCK SALE

The New Zealand Loan and Mercan- :{.• A3S ncy, Company report that at their Blenheim sale on Wednesday last, notwithstanding the heavy rain of the morning of the sale, all advertise- stock came forward. The yarding consisted chiefly of station lines of merino ewes and forward wethers. Atnong^ the most noteworthy were a line ot wethers from the Lansdowne and Lnna stations, which for size, wool and condition, would be hard to beat anywhere. The cull ewes from these stations were sold by the company early in the season, for 16s. Other hues of note were the draught ewes from Blairich and Leefield stations, which, owing to the drop in was keen, and prices were in vendors' to bring under the hammer within 5s ot the price they would have realised six months ago. Several lots were passed in during the sale, but all with the exception of three small lots' were disposed of by private treaty afterwards. J

The demand for ranis and cattle was keen, and prices were in vendors ravor.
