NEW ZEALAND EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

THE TWENTY SEVENTH WEEK

The number of eggs laid during the twenty-seventh week of the Now Zealand Egg-laying Competition is 2309. The grand aggregate now reaches 48,369. The weekly average stands at 23 09 per pen. The highest layings for the week are :—Marlborough A. and P. Association's White Leghorns, 35 ; Mick Show's White Leghorns 33; James Penney's Black Orpingtons, 32 ;T. West's White Wyandottes, 32 ; R Allan's White Leghorns 31. The order of the grand aggregate runs as follows :—H.
