Ihe Frozen Meat Trade Association s Smithfield Market quotations tor the undermentioned classes of frozen meats are based on actual sales ol not less than 100 carcases of mutton or lamb, or 25 carcases of beef, of fair average quality (these quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of the shipments now on the market):—New Zealand sheep, Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes: Canterbury, light, 48 lb to 561b, and medium, 561b to 641b, 3 9-16 d; Canterbury heavy, 641b to 721b, 3id; Dunedin and Southland, 561b to 641b, 3 9-16 d; North Island best, 551b to 651b, 3 9-16 d. New Zealand lamb: Canterbury, light, 281b to 361b, 4 3-16 d; Canterbury heavy, 361b nou42l b) <3ld; Dlluedin and Southland, Rabbits—Steady, unchanged. New^ Zealand hemp—Firm. OctoberDecember, £31 10s; January-March ' £31 ss. . Rabbit skins—3oo6 bales were offered and sold. Well-furred advanced a penny to three-halfpence; intermediate from one farthing to a halfpenny. Copper-Spot, £71 12s 6d; three months, £70 12s 6d. Lead—£ls. Silver—2s 5 l-16d.
