The eleventh annual poultry show of the local Society was brought to a close last night. Owing to Mr Dacre, the judge, being delayed by stress of weather, the judging was not concluded till late yesterday. Mrs Bennett wins the chief Minorca trophy; W. Richardson, Still water, the Society's gold medal for the best bird in the Show, a Minorca cockerel; J. O'Connor, Game; A. E. Hounsell's Minorcas, of Nelson, win several prizes. The fanciers of the district were generally successful The Show was a record one so far as poultry entries are concerned, and is pronounced to be the best yet held in regard to quality.

New Plymouth, July 28.

The Poultry Show opened to-day. Tbe North Island Championship in Silver Wyandottes was won by Hutchison (Auckland). The best Wyandotte in show (cock), ten guinea trophy, was won outright by Captain Hood. The Black Orpington ten guinea trophy was won outright by P. Teed; and the Pigeon Championship outright by J. Hurle.
