McGregor was brought before the Police Court this morning and. charged with the attempted murder of Mr Sargood. On the application of the police he was remanded till Friday in order that he might be medically ex* amined. No bail was asked.

After McGregor's arrest he said he did not remember going to Sargood's or firing the revolver.
