King Victor Emmanuel has informed the International Agricultural Conference at Borne that he will personally endow the proposed institute with an income of twelve thousand pounds a year, the States participating in the scheme to defray other expenses.
[In February last, King Victor Emmanuel, at the instance of Mr David Lubio, an American, invited the* Powers to a conference at Rome for the purpoßQ of establishing—mainly at the expense of the King of Italy—an International Chamber of Agriculture. Co operation in strengthening the boiads of interdependence uniting the nations.
