Wheat during the past week has been in a very nervous and unsettled condition, owing to collapse of the May wheat corner in Chicago; bnt ■}• though the demand was practically nil, there has been no great pressure to tell. Spot values are generally Id lower; old crop Australian is selling at 6s lOd, and new crop at 6s lOd to is 9*d. Cargoes have been very dull, and arrived cargoes show a decline ef 6d to 9d per quarter; while cargoes for shipment, owing to scarcity of sellers, are generally 3d fearer. The only «al. reported is *976 garters South Australian "Sara" at 325. Parcels aare been very steady with buyers at Sis for prompt Soath Awtwlian, New Sonth Wale«. or Victorian, but not reasonable soliers.
