THE MARLBOROUGH EXHIBITION.
MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE. A well-attended meeting of the Exi hibition Executive was held last' eveni ing* A considerable quantity of managerial business relating to the Exhibi--1 tioo was transacted. The Mayor of Nelson wrote asking for information in view of the Exhibition proposed to be held in Nelson on Trafalgar Day next year ; and the Secretary was asked to reply. Arrangements were made for the supply of diplomas for presentation to successful exhibitors. Prize moneys amounting to £112 were passed for payment. Accounts amounting to £424 5s were passed for payment subject to discounts being obtained from various creditors. The President reported the sale nf the buildings to Mr F. Paine for £560. Mr Tapp asked what provision had been made for paying out. Mr Macey said he felt certain that il the Executive had not sufficient money to pay out, the Borough Council wonld assist. After considerable discussion, arrangements were made for the preparation and independent auditing of a balance sheet for presentation to they1/ Association. //
