FOOD AND RAW MATERIAL.
London, August 21. Mr 1-1. H. Asquith, in a letter to the Liberals of Argyllshire, said it would be impossible to give preference to Canadian wheat and deny it to South African wool. Mr Asquith added that Mr Chamberlain's proposal, ifiogically enforced, would involve raising the price of food and raw material.
