Auckland, July 21. On receipt of the news of the Pope's death St. Patrick's Cathedral was draped in black, and the bell tolled. Many Hags are half-mast.

To-night prayers for the repoao of the soul of the Pope will be recited in all Catholic churches, but no other memorial services will be held until next week.

Cheistohuroh, July 21. On receipt of the news of the death of the Pope the Pro-Cathedral bell was tolled. A grand requiem mass will be celebrated on Tuesday.
