Napier, July 20.

The Niwaru, it is supposed, touched on a rock half a mile south-east of the breakwater, on which there is twenty feet of water at low tide.

Sho has been brought into the harbor under leo of the breakwater, where the cargo in No. 4 hold will be discharged.

Until this is done it is impossible to tell the extent of the damage, but the steamer is still making water. Tbe cargo in No. 4 hold is consigned to Napier and Wellington. .
