The lower portion of Casterton is under water, and 150 sheep were drowned at one station. Professor Gregory attributes the earth tremors to gigantic slips on the floor of the sea. Lattnceston, July 17. It was intended to remove the remaining patients in the city to the isolation hospital, but they refused to go. The President of the Board of Health states that unless they submit he will have to isolate the whole city.
Brisbane, July 17. Queensland is declared free from plague.
