Prett ABSodation. Electric Telegraph, Copyright* London, July 10. President Loubet, accompanied by the King and Queen, visited Aldershot and witnessed a review of 16,000 troops belonging to the First Army Corps.
Subsequently the President dined at Lansdowne House, in Berkeley-square, the town residence of the Secretary for Foreign Affairs, and attended a ball at Buckingham Palace.
Two thousand guests were present at the ball, which was the finest entertainment given since the King's Coronation.
The King, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Connaught, Mr A. J. Balfour (Prime Minister), and the Marquis of Lansdowne (Foreign Secretary) were present at Victoria station to bid good-bye to President Loubet.
Enthusiastic crowds gathered in the streets to bid farewell to the President.
President Loubet, from on board the French cruiser Guichen, telegraphed tendering the King his liveliest gratitude for the warm reception extended by the Sovereign, the Royal Family, and the nation to the representative of France, England's friend.
King Edward scat an equally solicitous reply.
